"Taking inspiration from the wild and rugged Galician coast, each LUME sail is created to capture the essence of this magical and mysterious land. These candles are a tribute to the generosity of Galicia and to fleeting moments that are forever etched in our memory thanks to the power of aroma. The creamy wax used in LUME candles is a proprietary blend of rapeseed and European-sourced beeswax, resulting in a smooth burn and exceptional scent-carrying ability. Its scents come from the birthplace of perfume , Grasse in France. They are guaranteed free of phthalates. JASMINE BOUQUET: An altar dedicated to the most divine and seductive of lovers: the jasmine flower. It is sensual and intoxicating, syrupy and delicious, hypnotic and seductive. In this blend, she is accompanied by her sisters Iris & Tuberose. TOP jasmine flowers MID iris, heliotrope, honeysuckle BASE white musk and orange flower Handmade light pink ultra-shiny enamel container, made with the intention of being reused. To clean any remaining wax from the bottom of the container, pour in some boiling water and allow the water to cool before discarding. The wax will have risen to the surface of the water. Do not pour this waxy water down the sink, as it can easily clog the pipes. Isopropyl alcohol works wonders to polish the shiny glazed surface. Measures approx. 10x9cm. Burn time 80 hours. 350G / 12OZ Due to the handcrafted nature of these candles, no two are identical. It is important to let the LUME candle burn for at least 3 hours the first time you light it. Wait until the wax is melted to the brim before putting it out, and you'll be rewarded with a candle that smells better and lasts longer. Always trim the wick to about 5mm. before relighting the candle. Trimming the wick improves the candle experience by producing a smaller, safer flame that produces less soot. The length of the wick also has a direct effect on the burn rate: the longer the wick, the faster it will burn. Never blow to put it out. Blowing will inevitably create smoke that will overpower the beautiful aroma that has just been dispersed. Our favorite method of extinguishing candles is to carefully dip the wick into the pool of wax and gently lift it up again. The benefits of this method are twofold: it prevents smoke residue and its wick is coated in wax, meaning it will burn better the next time you light it."
