The Gen 2 white phosphor light intensifier tubes deliver a 1400-1600 figure of merit for a clear view, while the 1x magnification, 27mm f/1.2 lenses offer a 40° field of view and can focus as close as 10" away. An infrared illuminator supplements the intensifier tubes in total darkness, with an in-view indicator light letting you know it's on. Flip the tubes up or to the sides to power off. The RNV-31 runs approximately 20 hours on one AA battery or 25 hours on one CR123A.
